  9. 2 1/2 cup all purpose flour plus 3 table spoon (as needed)
  10. 2 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  11. 1 whole egg plus 1 yolk
  12. 3 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
  13. Egg Wash
  14. 1 whole egg
  15. 1 tablespoon milk
  16. Garnish

    In a small sauce pan, combine milk, flour and water and bring to boil on a medium heat and keep stirring until the milk paste created. Put aside.

    Let sit for 5-10 minutes until the mixture is frothy and foamy.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the all purpose flour, sugar, salt.
  5. Fit a dough hook onto stand mixer.
    Add the milk paste, softened unsalted butter and eggs into dry yeast mixture, mix with slow speed.
  6. Then add the flour mixture. Keep kneading on low speed until smooth and shiny for 6 minutes or until the dough apart from the side of the bowl. Scrape the side of the bowl as needed.
  7. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface, dough will be elastic and smooth. Tuck loose ends underneath and form the dough lightly into a smooth and round shape.

    Drizzle vegetable oil into a big bowl, grease and coated lightly the dough with oil. Cover the bowl with kitchen towel or plastic wrap. Let the dough rise in a warm place or you can proof it in your oven for 1 1/2 hours or until size doubled.
  8. Punch and flatten the dough to get rid the bubbles out of the dough.
    Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface.
    Divided the dough into 8 pieces evenly. Form the dough lightly into a smooth and round shape by tucking loose end underneath.

    By using your hands, gently flatten the dough rounds about 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle very lightly with flour on the buns.

    Cover the buns loosely with plastic wrap and let rise for 1 1/2 hours or until size doubled.
  9. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  10. Egg wash.

    Whisk egg with milk until combined. Then very gently and lightly brush top the buns with the egg mixture, do not overdo or will deflate the dough. Sprinkle sesame seed on the buns.
  11. Bake for 15 minutes. It is okay if the bun stick together. Let cool completely and tear the buns apart.
