- 500 grams Minced Mutton/ Keema
- 100 ml Curd
- 5 tbsp Fennel powder(Saunf Powder)
- 10-15 Black cardamom
- 6 pcs Green cardamom
- 1 inch stick Cinnamon
- 2-3 pcs Cloves
- 4-5 pcs Black peppercorns
- pinch Asafoetida/Hing - pinch diluted in 1 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
- as per taste Salt
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 small bowl Mustard oil for kofta and 30ml for gravy
Steps to make Mutton kofta
- Take minced lamb in a big thali.
Add 1 egg, 1½ tbsp red chilli powder, salt to taste(balance quantity of salt with that of gravy) and MIX WELL.
Now add mustard oil and black cardamom seeds in it and MIX WELL.Now make cylindrical koftas as shown in video and REFRIGERATE for 20 minutes
Take a bowl add curd,fennel powder and red chilli powder and Whisk well.
Ground whole spices Black cardamom,Cinnamon,Green cardamom.
Heat oil in a pan add grounded whole spices - Now add the whisked dahi masala into oil. Mix well.
Add 1 cup water and bring the liquid to boil.
Add koftas in the liquid
Cover with lid and cook for 20 more minutes.
Serve hot with rice.
